Disability Awareness Night will be an opportunity for ALL persons with disabilities, their families, care providers, and the community at large to enjoy a FREE baseball game while becoming informed on resources available for persons with disabilities.
Local service providers will be distributing FREE tickets to the game!
During the game, the EP Maxwell J. Schleifer Distinguished Service Award will be presented to some very deserving individuals/organization who serve the disability community.
The presentation of the EP Maxwell J. Schleifer Distinguished Service Award (named after the founder and former editor-in-chief of Exceptional Parent Magazine ) at each Disability Awareness Night signifies the remarkable accomplishments that can be achieved under difficult circumstances.
The Mission of the Disability Awareness Night is to recognize an individual/organization for extraordinary achievements, perseverance and dedication to the special needs community AND to expand awareness of the 54 million Americans with disabilities.

SAVE THE DATE for the complex rehab technology's Continuing Education and Legislative Advocacy (CELA) conference to be held in Washington, DC from April 28 to 30, 2010. This conference consists of educational programs on April 28 and April 30 and a full day to visit Members of Congress on April 29. It's a great opportunity to take your issues and needed fixes directly to your Congressional Representatives.
